Much of the country believes that West Virginia gets snow most of the winter. This is not true – we rarely get a good snow day. Outside of Charleston we rarely get snow that lasts more than 12 hours. When we do have enough snow to enjoy then we’re snowed in on the mountain tops we live in with really bad roads. It’s been a few years since we’ve had a chance to do a snow day photo session with my girls.
This morning we woke up to a beautiful layer of thick white snow. My sister-in-law jokingly text me that it was a perfect day for a photo session. Immediately plans began to transform my niece into a stunning snow queen. A few hours later we were standing in a very cold, wet rain attempting to get five minutes of cooperation from our queen. Bribery of LOL dolls, macaroni for lunch and agreeing to call her by her alter-egos name the remainder of the day proved fruitful. I truly believe this girl likes snowflakes better than people.
